Po Nagar Cham Towers were built between the 7th and 12th centuries on a site used by Hindus for worship. The towers are located 2km north of Nha Trang on the left bank of the Cai River.

Hon Chong Promontory is a collection of granite rocks jutting out into the South China Sea. They are located 3.5km north of central Nha Trang.

Long Son Pagoda is located about 500m west of the train station. The giant seated buddha is on the hill behind the pagoda.

The Oceanographic Institute is open to tourists and has an aquarium and specimen room.

A boat cruise to the offshore islands is one of the highlights of this region.

A famous site before reaching Nha Trang is Cana beach. This stretch of beautiful white sand has a few restaurants it is a popular rest area for travellers coming from the South.
