Xuan Huong Lake in the centre of Dalat was created in 1919 by a dam. Paddleboats can be rented here.
The Cremaillere (cog railway) is located about 500m east of Xuan Huong Lake. This railway station linked Dalat and Thap Cham from 1928-1964 when it was closed due to Viet Cong attacks. The line has been partically repaired and you can ride the 5km tracks through the suburbs of Dalat.
Hang Nga Guesthouse and Art Gallery is nicknamed the "Crazy House" by locals due to it's design.
Lam Ty ni Pagoda also know as Quan Am Tu was founded in 1961. The attraction here besides the Pagoda and it's gardens is the lone Monk named Mr Thuc. He has on display a collection of his artwork.
Prenn Falls is one of the largest and most beautiful falls in the area. It is located 13kms from Dalat towards the Phan Rang.
The nine hamlets of the Lat Village are located 12kms north west of Dalat at the base of the Lang Bian Mountains. The inhabitants are ethnic minorities. You will require a police permit to visit this village.
Lang Bian Mountains has five volcanic peaks ranging in altitude from 2100 to 2400m. The hike up the mountain will take 3-4 hours from the Lat Village. You will require a guide and a special permit from the police.
This area is great for the adventure seeker. There is paragliding, canyoning and treks. These are all offered by Action Dalat, they offer English and French speaking guides who lead everything from low impact hikes to experienced rock climbing.
