Marble Mountain
Marble Mountain was one of five mountains located south of DaNang that stretched from the coast inland or westward. At the base of Marble Mountain there is a monastery. The mountain has a huge cave opening and just inside the cave is a huge statue of Buddha. Since 1975 the mountains have become a tourist stop and you can tour any of the caves with children from the village of Nui Kim Son.
Hoi An
This ancient town, situated on left bank of the Thu Bon River, is a riverine town 30km South of Danang. The town became known for excellent quality bamboo curtains and rattan. Many new looms were built, some became electrically operated. Today Hoi An is an ideal place for getting away from the crowded streets of Danang. The Chinese who came here in the 17th century left behind some interesting assembly halls, congregation halls and merchant houses together with one of the quaintest temples in Hoi An.
